The technology company Playtech is currently going through an exciting period of global expansion and as a result, is recruiting record-breaking IT talent in Estonia. At the moment, almost 100 positions are open and, among others, developers, technical project managers and IT engineers are being sought.
According to Ivo Lasn, Director of Playtech Estonia, the recently announced partnership with Parx Casino in the US and Playtech’s continued growth in Latin American markets represent a major milestone for the company, and create an important foothold for Playtech's continued expansion in new and regulated markets in the coming years. "2006 Internet gambling was banned in the United States in 2006 and Playtech also had to withdraw from the market. At that time, there were no clear regulations in the sector, and instead of introducing them, it was decided to start banning everything. Today, we will once again be able to expand there in stages, because each state will open up the market according to its own regulations. Today's regulations in the gaming industry are strict and the market is demanding, "added Lasn.
"Playtech’s global growth has created an opportunity to grow the team in Estonia as well, and currently we have almost 100 positions open," said HR Director Triin Sikkal. Sikkal added that recruitment is currently difficult in the IT sector and the fight for talent is great.
